This product is one of the “House” variety. This means that it is made with the cheapest ingredients using fillers for anyone who wants to say they are selling “wasabi”. Just a smaller pack than the previous review. Notice the water is the biggest ingredient used in this concoction.

Reviewers Recommendation
Another brand to be left alone if you are looking for a true wasabi paste. This is really the cheap and nasty stuff – nearly every food manufacturer makes a “House” variety that any retailer can claim as their own. I suspect that this product might actually come from China, and not Japan as it is claimed. The “House” type products seem to be a common product to find in China. The only thing that they have in common is that they burn the tongue and are gritty. Not nice at all.
The fact is that no matter what the manufacturers do, you have to add some stuff to rubbish to make a cheap and nasty product that the public can be conned with. Start looking at the ingredients and vote with your wallet. That way the manufacturers might start getting the message about misleading us.
